I am committed daily in the pursuit of a transformative and vibrant life. As a leader in the field of holistic health coaching, I specialize in providing support and guidance to individuals seeking relief from pain and inflammation.

Growing up under the loving influence of my Native American grandmother, I was immersed in a world where traditional wisdom and the healing arts were seamlessly woven into everyday life. It was here that I first encountered the profound principles of Eastern medicine, a rich tapestry of holistic practices that emphasized the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.

As I navigated the intricate threads of my heritage, life led me on a transformative journey into the realm of Western medicine. Becoming a nurse opened my eyes to a different paradigm of healing—one rooted in scientific advancements, cutting-edge technologies, and evidence-based practices. This duality of influences shaped my understanding of health and wellness, introducing me to a broader spectrum of approaches.

It all started when I suffered a torn meniscus to my left lateral knee in high school and chose to have a partial meniscectomy to resolve it. My journey through menopause, which makes you achy, began in my early 40s after having a hysterectomy in my 30s. The traditional treatment for pain and inflammation is pain medication and or steroid treatment, however, I developed bleeding ulcers after one of my injuries from this treatment. When I was about 50, I tore my medial meniscus to the same knee and opted out of surgical repair and pain medication. A couple of years later, I tore my rotator cuff to my right shoulder and once again opted out of having surgery and pain medication.

I also suffered and developed carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, trigger finger, a lower back injury, as well as a clavicle injury while doing patient care as a nurse. Now all of this compounded with inherited arthritis which runs in both my mother's and father's side of the family made getting out of bed and completing my activities of daily living challenging.

I decided to take a deeper dive into managing my symptoms through nutrition.  I became a certified nutrition health coach in 2018. I began experimenting with foods, teas, meditation, yoga, reiki, essential oils, breathing techniques, visualization, etc....

Currently, I can do all the activities I did before any of my injuries.  I could exercise, hike, run, dance, and wear heels with minimal modifications and pain.  I was able to avoid 5 recommended injuries and rehabilitated with therapeutic exercises instead.

Although everyone's journey with pain and or inflammation is different and what works for me, may not work for everyone, most people who have attempted some of my strategies, have noticed a decrease in their symptoms and an increase in their energy.

This journey has not only been about managing my health but has ignited a passion within me to share the profound benefits of holistic living with others. As I amalgamate the ancient wisdom of my grandmother with the contemporary insights of Western medicine, I am dedicated to helping individuals find their unique path to holistic well-being.

Through my experiences, I have come to understand that true healing encompasses a harmonious balance between traditional wisdom and modern science—a balance that has the potential to transform not just the way I approach health but the way I live my life.
